Clearly, we can't help you build meaningful relationships without some information about yourself, like basic profile details and interests. We also collect information generated as you use our services; for example, access logs and information from third parties, such as when you access our services through a social media account. The information you provide us
You choose to give us certain information when you use our services. This includes:
When you create an account, you provide us with at least your login credentials or phone number, as well as some basic details necessary for the service to work, such as your gender and date of birth.
When you complete your profile, you may share additional information with us, such as your interests and other details about yourself; and also content such as photos and videos. To add certain content, such as photos, you can give us permission to access your camera or photo album.
When you sign up for a paid service or make a purchase directly from us (rather than through a platform like iOS or Android), you give us, or our payment service provider, information such as your debit card number. or credit and other financial information.
When you participate in surveys, focus groups or market research, you give us your perspectives about our products and services, answer our questions and give us testimonials.
When you participate in our promotions, events or contests, we collect the information you use to register or participate.
If you contact us (for example, via the Help Center), we collect the information you provide us during the interaction.
If you share information about other people with us (for example, if you use a friend's contact details for a certain function) we process the information on your behalf in order to fulfill your request.
We also process your chats with other users as well as the content you post, as it is necessary for the operation of the services.
Information we receive from others
In addition to the information you provide us directly, we also receive information about you from other people, such as:
Other users may provide information about you as they use our services. For example, when they interact with you or if they submit a report about you.
You may decide to share information with us through your social network account, for example, if you decide to create and access Selfbum via your social network or other account (such as Facebook, Google or Apple) or if you decide to upload information to our services (such as photos) from your social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, among others.
Information collected when you use our services
When you use our services, this generates technical information about the features you used, how you used them, and the devices you used to access our services. See below for more details:
Using the Services generates information about your activity; for example, how you use them (e.g., when you logged in, features you used, actions taken, pages shown to you, referring website addresses, ads you clicked) and your interactions with other users (eg, the users you interact with, the date and time of your exchanges, the number of messages you send and receive).
We collect information from and about the devices you use to access our services, including hardware and software information such as IP addresses, device ID and type, app settings and features, app crashes, advertising IDs (which are randomly generated numbers that you can reset from your device settings), identifiers associated with cookies or other technologies that can uniquely identify a device or browser.
Other information with your consent
If you give us permission, we may collect your precise geolocation (latitude and longitude). Obtaining your geolocation may occur in the background when you are not using the services, if the permission you expressly granted us allows such obtaining. If you decline permission for us to collect your geolocation, we will not collect it. Similarly, if you consent, we may collect photos and videos (for example, if you want to post a photo or video or participate in streaming features on our services).

We use, and may allow others to use, cookies and other similar technologies (eg, web beacons, pixels, SDKs) to recognize you and your devices. You can read our Cookies Policy to obtain more information about why we use them and how you can better control their use.
Some web browsers (including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome) have a 'Do Not Track' ('DNT') feature that alerts the website that a user does not want their web activity to be tracked. line. If a website that responds to a DNT signal receives one, the browser can block that website from collecting certain information about the browser user. Not all browsers offer the DNT option and DNT signals are not yet uniform. For this reason, many businesses, including Selfbum, do not currently respond to DNT signals.

Since our goal is to help you create meaningful relationships, user information is obviously shared with other users. We also share certain user information with service providers and partners who assist us in operating our services, such as other Match Group companies (for the reasons listed below) and in some cases, with legal authorities. Read on for more details on how information is shared with others.
If you choose to limit the audience of all or part of your profile or certain content or information about you, it will be visible according to your Settings.
If someone files a report about you (such as a complaint about a violation of our Terms or Community Guidelines) and if actions are taken, we may notify the reporter of the actions.
We follow a strict evaluation process before hiring any service provider or working with a partner. All service providers and partners must accept strict confidentiality obligations.
With law enforcement/when required by law
We may disclose your information if it is reasonably necessary: i) to comply with legal process, such as a court order, subpoena or search warrant, government/police investigation, or other legal requirement; ii) to assist in the prevention or detection of a crime (subject in each case to the applicable legislation); or iii) to protect the safety of any person.
To apply legal rights
We may also share information: i) if the disclosure would mitigate our liability in an actual or alleged lawsuit; ii) as necessary to protect our legal rights and those of our users, business partners and other interested parties; iii) to enforce our agreements with you; and iv) to investigate, prevent, or take other action related to illegal activities, suspected fraud, or other misconduct.

We may ask for your consent to share your information with third parties. In that case, we will be clear about why we want to share the information.
7. Your rights
We want you to have control of your information, so we remind you of the following options and tools available to you:
Access / update tools in the service.
Tools and account settings that help you access, rectify, or delete the information you provided to us that is associated with your account directly within the system. If you have any questions about those tools and settings, please contact our Help Center.
Mobile platforms have permission systems for specific types of device and notification data, such as phone contacts, location services, push notifications, and advertising identifiers. You can change the preferences on your device to consent or oppose the collection of the corresponding information or to display the relevant notifications. Obviously, if you do that, certain services might not have full functionality.
You can stop all data collection from an app by uninstalling the app, using the standard uninstall process for your device. Remember that uninstalling an app does NOT delete your account. To delete your account, please use the corresponding function in the service.
You can delete your account directly in the service, using the relevant function for it.
We want you to know your privacy rights. Here are some key points to remember:
Review your information.
Applicable privacy laws may give you the right to review the personal information we maintain about you (depending on the jurisdiction, this may be called a right of access, a right of portability, or variations of these terms). You can exercise this right by submitting a request here.
Update your information.
If you believe that the information we have about you is inaccurate or that we no longer have the right to use it, and you wish to request its rectification, deletion, oppose or restrict its treatment, contact us here.
For your protection and that of our users, we may ask you to provide proof of identity before responding to the aforementioned requests.
Remember, we may deny some requests for certain reasons, such as if we are unable to authenticate you, if the request is illegal or invalid, or if it violates another user's trade secrets, intellectual property, or privacy. If you wish to receive information related to another user, such as a copy of a message you received from him/her through our service, the other user must contact our Privacy Officer to provide written consent before the information is communicated. . We may also ask you to provide proof of identity before we can respond to the request.
Similarly, we may not be able to agree to certain requests for opposition or restriction of the processing of personal information, especially when such requests do not allow us to provide our service to you. For example, we cannot provide our service if we do not have your date of birth and therefore cannot ensure that you are 18 years old.
In certain countries, including those in the European Union and the United Kingdom, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority if you have concerns about how we process your personal information. You can find information about data protection regulation in the European Union here, and in the UK here. The data protection authority to which you can file a complaint can be located in the place of your habitual residence, where you work or in the place where the alleged complaint has occurred.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information only as long as we need it for our legitimate business purposes (as set out in Section 5) and as permitted by applicable law. If you decide to stop using our services, you can delete your account and your profile will no longer be visible to other users. Please note that we will automatically delete your account if you remain inactive for a period of two years. After your account is deleted, we will delete your personal information as follows:
To protect and preserve the security of our users, we implement a retention period of three months from the moment the account is closed. During this period, we keep your information in case it is necessary to investigate illegal or harmful conduct. The conservation of the information during this period is based on our legitimate interest and the interest of third parties and potential victims.
Once the security retention period ends, we delete your information and only keep limited information for specific purposes, as outlined below.
We keep limited data to comply with legal data retention obligations: in particular, we keep transaction information for 10 years in order to comply with legal and tax requirements and credit card data for as long as the user can still dispute the transaction, furthermore certain 'traffic data' is kept for one year to comply with legal data retention obligations. We also keep a history of the consents given by users for five years, in order to demonstrate our compliance with applicable laws.
The information must be kept for our legitimate business interests: We keep records of customer service and support data, as well as the inaccurate location of downloads/purchases for five years, in order to support decisions about customer service, exercise our rights and to be able to defend ourselves in case of a possible claim. We keep profile data for one year in case of potential litigation, for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, and data necessary to prevent blocked users or people who were identified as under 18 from opening a new account, and in order to preserve the security and vital interests of our users.
Finally, we retain information based on our legitimate interest when there is a potential or exceptional issue, claim or dispute that requires us to retain the information (particularly if we receive a valid legal subpoena or request that we retain the data. In such a case, we would need to retain the data to comply with our legal obligations) or in case the data may be necessary as part of legal proceedings.
Please remember that although our systems are designed to execute data deletion processes in accordance with the aforementioned guidelines, we cannot promise that all data will be deleted in a specific time period due to technical restrictions.
Our services are limited to users who are over 18 years of age. We do not accept users under the age of 18 on our platform. If you suspect that a user is under 18, please use the reporting mechanism available on our service.
9. Job Applicants, Contractors and Representatives
If you are a job applicant, the personal information we process about you may vary depending on the job you are seeking, but typically includes what you provide to us as part of your job application, as well as your professional certifications, background and reference information. which is shared with us by recruiters or third parties. We use this information to support the recruitment process, which may lead to an employment contract. In the case of contractors and representatives, we may process identification information and employment information to the extent necessary to manage our relationship with you and your employees, which is also necessary to perform the services of the agreement and to establish, exercise or defend potential legal claims. You may also share personal information with services that help us with recruitment and technical data processing operations, as well as with other Match Group companies (for example, if you have a working relationship with employees of a partner). We keep your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill those purposes.
Because we're always looking for new and innovative ways to help you build meaningful connections, and because we strive to make sure our explanations of our data usage are kept up to date, this policy may change over time.
