We are looking for an experienced excavator operator to join our team. The successful applicant will be working on a large commercial project and be responsible for operating a 9m excavator and dump truck.

The successful applicant will have experience with all types of excavators, including backhoe and telehandler, as well as operating a dump truck. They will be able to read plans and take instruction, be able to work independently and have the ability to multitask.

Knowledge of operating tools and heavy machinery

A machine operator is a person who operates heavy machinery, such as bulldozers and backhoes, in order to perform excavation work. The purpose of this job is to remove earth or other materials from one place and deposit them in another. The operator may need to dig trenches or piles, depending on the nature of the project.

Operators must be able to understand operating instructions for their equipment and be familiar with safety procedures. They must also have knowledge of how to operate tools like shovels and pickaxes, which are used for digging and removing rocks from construction sites.

Machine operators are employed by construction companies and subcontractors that specialize in excavation work. They may work outdoors or in a shop environment depending on the company's location. Some working conditions include exposure to extreme heat or cold temperatures, loud noise levels, dust and dirt particles in the air and vibrations from equipment use.

Machine operators typically need at least a high school diploma or equivalent degree because they must be able to read blueprints and follow safety procedures outlined by OSHA (Occupational Safety Health Administration) regulations.

We are currently recruiting for a machine operator for our excavation site in North West London.

The role will be very varied and require you to have a good understanding of excavators and other machinery. You should be able to follow directions but also take initiative and work independently.

The position is temporary with a view to becoming permanent if it suits both parties well.

Good attention to detail and ability to follow safety regulations

You will be working on an excavation site, digging trenches and installing underground pipelines. You will operate a variety of heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers and trucks. In addition you will be required to lift, carry and use hand tools on a daily basis.
